Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has hampered the learning process for children in Pandean Village, Karanganyar District, Ngawi Regency due to restrictions on face-to-face activities at schools and the Al-Qur'an Education Center (TPA), resulting in a decline in children's enthusiasm for learning and basic literacy and religious skills. This community service program aims to optimize TPA activities and provide tutoring for elementary school-aged children in Ngrebeng Hamlet and the surrounding area. The implementation method includes tutoring in reading, writing, and arithmetic in residents' homes, as well as strengthening TPA activities through adhan training, memorization (tahfidz) guidance, calligraphy training, and competitions commemorating the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The results of the activities show an increase in children's enthusiasm and confidence in reading, writing, arithmetic, reciting the adhan, memorizing the Quran, and writing calligraphy. This activity contributes to strengthening the TPA's function as a center for religious education in Pandean Village and helps restore children's enthusiasm for learning after the distance learning imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
