Abstract

Reading the Quran is a virtue for Muslims. This activity aims to train children
in Karanganyar Village to be able to read the Quran properly and correctly. The method
used in this activity consists of three stages, namely: 1) Consultation, 2) Assistance, and
3) Evaluation. The consultation stage is carried out to find out the problem and try to
find a solution. The problems found in Karanganyar Village are the unavailability of
landfill teachers and the ability to read the Quran for children is still very lacking because
they have not used the method. The mentoring stage is carried out by applying one of the
methods, namely UMMI. The results of the activity showed that children's ability to read
the Quran increased which was judged by the clear pronunciation of makharijul letters
and understanding the law of reading tajwid properly and correctly. namely the children
are getting better at pronouncing the makharijul letters and knowing and understanding
the law of good and correct recitation of recitation.
