Abstract

The fine motor skills of group B children in Pancasila Muchtary 1 Kindergarten are not optimally developed which can be observed when children cut, write, and draw. The use of loose parts media is expected to help optimize children's fine motor development. The objectives of this study are: (1) to analyze the fine motor development of group B children of Pancasila Muchtary 1 Kindergarten, (2) to analyze the strategies used to optimize the fine motor development of group B children in Pancasila Muchtary 1 Kindergarten, (3) to analyze the use of loose parts media in optimizing the fine motor development of group B children of Pancasila Muchtary 1 Kindergarten. The fine motor skills of group B children in Pancasila Muchtary 1 Kindergarten are not optimally developed which can be observed when children cut, write, and draw. The use of loose parts media is expected to help optimize children's fine motor development. The results of the study were obtained: (1) motor development The subtle group B children in Pancasila Muchtary 1 Kindergarten are not optimally developed which can be observed when children cut, write, and draw. The use of loose parts media is expected to help optimize children's fine motor development. The results of the study were obtained: (1) the fine motor development of group B children developed optimally in accordance with the Child Development Achievement Level Standards which included indicators of drawing freely according to ideas, imitating shapes, using stationery and cutlery correctly, exploring various media and activities, cutting according to patterns, sticking pictures appropriately, and expressing themselves through detailed drawing movements,  (2) strategies used by teachers include planning or preparation strategies, learning strategies, and evaluation or assessment strategies, (3) the use of loose parts media is applied by teachers to optimize children's fine motor development through free play activities with parts, including natural materials, plastic materials, metal materials, ceramic materials, fabric materials, packaging container materials, and wood or bamboo materials.
